As we watch President Obama try to effect change in Washington on major issues like health care, energy, and economic reform, and see the foot dragging and resistance from special-interest groups and lobbyists, it's obvious that now is the time we must begin to change our thinking and take a long-term perspective on the problems that face our country and the world.
